Clog Heroes, the Prince William County, VA Plumber for a County Where the Typical Home Was Built in 1993
Clog Heroes covers plumbing, drains and sewer lines throughout Prince William County, Virginia. Prince William County counted 482,204 people at the 2020 Census. By July 2025 the Census Bureau's estimate had passed half a million, at 502,966. And the typical home here was built in 1993, thirteen years newer than the national figure of 1980.
About three in four of those homes are lived in by their owners. If yours is one of them, the price arrives in writing before a wrench turns, and it's yours to approve.

Pick your community. Each page is about the place itself: the roads you drive, the parks you know and the history under your feet.
Where Your Water Comes From
Prince William Water buys most of its treated water from Fairfax Water and the City of Manassas. It starts out in the Potomac River, the Occoquan Reservoir and Lake Manassas. In Dumfries, Woodbridge and Triangle, the water at your kitchen tap comes from the Occoquan and is treated at Fairfax Water's Frederick P. Griffith plant.
The Occoquan Reservoir covers 1,840 acres behind a dam built in 1957. Its drainage basin reaches into four counties and takes in all of Manassas and Manassas Park.
What goes down the drain splits by geography too. Wastewater from the western county goes to the Upper Occoquan Service Authority plant, formed on March 3, 1971 to replace eleven smaller plants. Wastewater from the east goes to the H.L. Mooney Advanced Water Reclamation Facility.
Wells, Septic and the Rural Crescent
The county's Rural Area, also called the Rural Crescent, covers about 117,000 acres. That's 52% of the county, planned for public water but generally not public sewer. Up at Bull Run Mountain and Evergreen, water comes from public community wells instead.
On a septic system? County Code Section 23-48 says most onsite systems must be pumped out at least once every five years. The Prince William Health District oversees private wells and septic systems and keeps historical records for each property by street address.
Tell us whether you're on public water or a private well when you book. The technician will know what to expect before they reach your door.
Piedmont Clay, Coastal Sand and January Cold
The Fall Line runs right through Prince William Forest Park. West of it, Piedmont soils are highly weathered and generally well drained. East of it, Coastal Plain soils are commonly sandy or sandy loam.
Winter gets real. National Weather Service normals for Dulles Airport put the January average low at 25.2 degrees, with 6.9 inches of snow that month. Find your main shutoff before the first hard freeze.
And on a good weekend, Manassas National Battlefield Park gives you about 5,000 acres to walk, where the First and Second Battles of Manassas were fought.
